The work of US photographer Herb Ritts is the subject of a major exhibition at the Getty Center in Los Angeles, nearly 10 years on from his 2002 death.Herb Ritts: LA Style runs until 26 August 2012
According to the Getty Center, Ritts "revolutionised fashion photography, modernised the nude, and transformed celebrities into icons".

DeleteWhen a friend of mine came out to me and was surprised that I wasn't surprised, I said, "The Herb Ritts photos on your walls kinda gave it away."

ReplyDeleteThe same week that I saw Joel Grey in Silverlake, I also saw Richard Gere in Bent, which completely rocked my world. (Also that week: the original production of Sweeney Todd, and Mary Tyler Moore in Whose Life Is It, Anyway?. It was a good week! I was a total theatre queen back then. I realize this has little to do with your post but it all came flooding back to me!)
