It doesn't get any better from here on out, I think - but I can't help thinking how lucky we are to having had him and all the other Spectacular Monsters around when we were young and wonderfully foolish enough to enjoy it so...
ReplyDeleteI remember dancing my tits off to You Spin Me Round on the dancefloor in "The Tunnel" club in Cardiff in the mid-80s - with my hair dyed henna red, fingerless gloves, pointy shoes and a fuck-off diamanté brooch at the neck of my black pleated shirt; me and Mr Burns go back a long, long way. "Wonderfully foolish", maybe - but, in the words of the wise "at least we had it when we needed it"... Jx
