On the Telly

"Last night I went to Elsa Lanchester's. Oh the horror of TV! It is so utterly, utterly inferior, yet just enough to keep you enslaved, entrapped, on the lower levels of consciousness - for a whole lifetime, if necessary. It is a bondage like that of Tennyson's Lady of Shalott."

Christopher Isherwood's diary, 28 September 1959

  1. Speaking of telly, I've just finished series one of "Beautiful People" and intend to blog about it after the Kitchen Queen Contest is over.

Thank you for mentioning it in one of your previous posts.

    Love it!

    On to season two now.

    1. Miss Perrin: "I'm not being funny but, I can't find me handbag anywhere. It's powder pink. Return it to me by the end of school, and you'll get a lorra lorra house points."
Kylie: [Simon spots the bag inside Kylie's jacket] "What? It matched my socks!"

Possibly one of my fave TV series, ever! Jx

  2. I don't care much for what's on the telly these days, but I do love these old machines!
