"I should like to bury something precious in every place where I've been happy and then, when I'm old and ugly and miserable, I could come back and dig it up and remember." Sebastian Flyte, Brideshead Revisted

CAMP: "A cornucopia of frivolity, incongruity, theatricality, and humour." "A deadly, winking, sniggering, snuggling, chromium-plated, scent-impregnated, luminous, quivering, giggling, fruit-flavored, mincing, ice-covered heap of mother love." "The lie that tells the truth." "Ostentatious, exaggerated, affected, theatrical; effeminate or homosexual; pertaining to or characteristic of homosexuals."
Awww. Loved Sebastian.
ReplyDeleteOMG I had such a crush on him when this was first televised!!!
ReplyDeleteDidn't we all, dear? I adored this programme so much - it influenced many a young queen's life and aspirations... Jx
ReplyDeleteThis version will always be my favorite (even though I do love me some Matthew Goode and Ben Whishaw) but Anthony Andrews as Sebastian was just perfect.
ReplyDeleteUtterly, utterly perfect... Jx
