CAMP: "A cornucopia of frivolity, incongruity, theatricality, and humour." "A deadly, winking, sniggering, snuggling, chromium-plated, scent-impregnated, luminous, quivering, giggling, fruit-flavored, mincing, ice-covered heap of mother love." "The lie that tells the truth." "Ostentatious, exaggerated, affected, theatrical; effeminate or homosexual; pertaining to or characteristic of homosexuals."

I'm doing exactly the same as I've always done
"I don't think I'm leading lady material, and I was always the wrong shape. I was never tall enough. But it was more lack of confidence. I shunned doing straight parts. I didn't think I was a good enough actress, so I thought I might as well do something they were supposed to laugh at."
“The three ages of man: youth, middle age and 'my word you do look well'.”
"In terms of work, I'm doing exactly the same as I've always done. It's what's around me that's changed."

Oh, yes, very many happy returns! And many more to come, I hope. (I loved Terry and June back in the day)
ReplyDeleteShe looks fab in the first photo, but the outfits in the second and third look to have come from Edina's wardrobe...
I somehow think that may have been the point of the fashion shoot... jx
DeleteAh, that explains it. I did wonder once I got to the third photo.
DeleteWhat are you wearing, Eddie?"
Delete"It's LACROIX, sweetie!"
"I love it."
