All natural

"I did what I wanted to do when I wanted to do it."

"You've got to give people something to take away with them. I like a show that lives with me for a long time, not something gossamer that's gone when you get up from your seat."

"The theatre was really all I ever knew. It was my life. It's wonderful to be remembered."

"What I have is all natural."

    1. Miss Gray never got the fame she deserved - she was more successful on stage than she ever was in Hollywood... Jx

  2. I didn't know her either, thought she was a drag queen based on the first picture. I shall be looking her up too, always great to find new divas.

    1. She was likely an inspiration for many a drag queen - especially here in London, where she played in the West End and resided for many years, and was much more popular than she was at home. Jx

  4. Don't expect a Broadway diva to crop up in it though, unless you count John Barrowman

    1. I imagine that Chita Rivera, Bette Midler or Angela Lansbury probably wouldn't have turned down an invite...

There have been several internationally-known names who have appeared on the show, including Richard Todd, Eleanor Bron, Ingrid Pitt and Julian Glover. Jx
