RIP, The Maestro; the man whose creative genius was behind every one of these musicals.
Stephen Joshua Sondheim (22nd March 1930 – 26th November 2021)
We at Dolores Delargo Towers are distraught at the loss of our icon.
It's a very sad day x x
ReplyDeleteVery sad, indeed. I have the black armbands out. Jx
DeleteIndeed, RIP.
ReplyDeleteSx
Such a loss.
DeleteThe musical repertoire in Fabulon has taken a much classier turn today... Jx
Such a brilliant man, and such a sad loss. I think we should lay flowers outside the Sondheim theatre.
ReplyDeleteI'll drink to that! Jx
DeleteNot a day goes by... not a single day...
ReplyDeleteSo sad to hear this. My heart breaks.
I wonder who inherits the keys to his dungeon?
He is survived by his husband, Jeffrey Scott Romley, who is almost 50 years his junior, whom he married in 2017, according to the BBC. Jx
DeleteThose who brought him on to West Side Story took a big gamble with a young and untried artist--thank goodness they did!!
ReplyDeleteHe was a protege of Oscar Hammerstein II, which helped. Jx
DeleteBlack arm bands a month of mourning for this sad news.
ReplyDeleteMourning, indeed.
DeleteI'll be doing a week of tributes... Jx
