Actors are not made

"Actors are not made, they are born."

"Bringing humour and bringing happiness and joy to an audience is a wonderful opportunity in life, believe me."

It is the centenary today of one of our most-missed Patron Saints, Dame Angela Lansbury!

All hail.

By way of a little tribute, here she is at her most camp portraying one of our most favourite characters...

...znd again, but this time with an "old pal":

Lordy, how we miss her...

  1. Darling Jon,

A lovely tribute to Angela Lansbury. Indeed, the first image is incredibly striking.

We loved the clip of the tango in Death on the Nile which reminded us of an amateur production [nowhere near as professional] of the play held in the Budleigh Salterton Playhouse. The dialogue completely passed us by since we were transfixed by the swaying scenery at every movement the actors made. A tango would have been several steps too far!!
