CAMP: "A cornucopia of frivolity, incongruity, theatricality, and humour." "A deadly, winking, sniggering, snuggling, chromium-plated, scent-impregnated, luminous, quivering, giggling, fruit-flavored, mincing, ice-covered heap of mother love." "The lie that tells the truth." "Ostentatious, exaggerated, affected, theatrical; effeminate or homosexual; pertaining to or characteristic of homosexuals."
Inspired stuff! Is that Batman comic real? Wow. As for the story of the perversion in toilets - I do believe that to be my biography! Shame on the Scarfolk Library. I take it that was in their kids section. Clem Carter must be one big closet case in need of a spring cleaning. And Dicky Delightful is what I find whenever I venture to my beloved prairie. Thanks for the larfs. Kizzes.
"Boring from within". They know me too well, it seems
ReplyDeleteAnd there's me thinking you were "Dicky Delightful" 😁 Jx

ReplyDeleteI'm trawling eBay for copies of all of them! Apart from "The Story of Perversion in Public Toilets". I wrote that. Jx
DeleteSome interesting reading there. I will keep an eye out for them next time I go charity shopping.
ReplyDeleteImagine stumbling across a copy of Dicky Delightful in Rainbow Land in the British Red Cross shop? I would shriek with joy! Jx
