...just like today's birthday girl, New Zealand-born Australian operatic soprano Frances Alda (born Fanny Jane Davis, 31st May 1879 – 18th September 1952)!
It looks like Fanny was left unsupervised while she was embellishing her mermaid costume. And how she managed to swim up the Nile to meet the Pharoah in it must be one of the world's great mysteries!
