CAMP: "A cornucopia of frivolity, incongruity, theatricality, and humour." "A deadly, winking, sniggering, snuggling, chromium-plated, scent-impregnated, luminous, quivering, giggling, fruit-flavored, mincing, ice-covered heap of mother love." "The lie that tells the truth." "Ostentatious, exaggerated, affected, theatrical; effeminate or homosexual; pertaining to or characteristic of homosexuals."

What's not to like really? Fabulous!!!!
ReplyDeleteIt's a bizarrely addictive show - fabulous, indeed! Jx
DeleteLooks absolutely hilarious! My kind of sit-com!
ReplyDeleteHope you can catch it on BBC iPlayer! It's worth it... Jx
DeleteOh, yes.... please. It's a riot. Feels like Derry Girls but a lot more glitter. I need some Brit sitcom... it gets lonely here in the states. All sitcoms are now about fat men with beautiful wives who sit around passing gas. Or a group of young friends sharing an apartment and a single brain cell. Smoggie Queens? Must see television!
ReplyDeleteIt makes such a change to have a gay "family" at the heart of the whole thing - and the warped and unlikely gathering of characters is so real... Both Madam Arcati and I remember being in households exactly like this - rough as old dogs, but "family" nonetheless! Jx
