...but will any of 'em end up on our New Year's Eve playlist? Time will tell.
CAMP: "A cornucopia of frivolity, incongruity, theatricality, and humour." "A deadly, winking, sniggering, snuggling, chromium-plated, scent-impregnated, luminous, quivering, giggling, fruit-flavored, mincing, ice-covered heap of mother love." "The lie that tells the truth." "Ostentatious, exaggerated, affected, theatrical; effeminate or homosexual; pertaining to or characteristic of homosexuals."

Well, I for one was always (and still am) a huge Moe Koffman fan and have several of his albums (not that one though). He was one of Canada's best jazz musicians (flute/sax).
ReplyDelete"The Swingin' Shepherd" had a fan club? You live and learn. Jx

I looked him up - he had two weeks on the chart here, peaking at #23, and nothing else, ever! The tune sounds like it should be a Soft Tempo Lounge soundtrack. Jx
DeleteThe Charles Wilp album. How can you go wrong with an album with songs like Powder Puff, Bald Beautiful Woman and Perfume Ad?
ReplyDeleteTitles like those, "Purple Playmate" and "Nanci for Soft Ice" almost make one want to hear the album. Just out of curiosity! Jx
DeletePS Wait for it - Madam Arcati's going to find it and download it, I bet. Be careful what you wish for 😜
Kellys look terrifying! I remember the look. I wore the look. But I have an excuse... I eight and thought The Partridge Family was a reality show.
ReplyDeleteI was truly, madly, deeply in love with Donny Osmond - complete with that hat - when I was eight, if that's any consolation. Jx
