Lo! The bird is on the wing

Come, fill the Cup, and in the Fire of Spring
The Winter Garment of Repentance fling:
The Bird of Time has but a little way
To fly - and Lo! the Bird is on the Wing.

- The Rubáiyát of Omar Khayyám

The clocks went forward last night, meaning we've lost an hour. Despite all appearances to the contrary, it is now officially British Summer Time! The daylight hours are henceforth longer than the nights - so make the most of it...

    1. It's been lovely this weekend, but apparently there's more miserable cold on its way... Jx

  2. Enjoy your summer! Don't forget the sunscreen!

And avoid standing under flying birds (and horses!) on the wing. They tend to drop down the most unpleasant things...

    1. I think sunscreen is rather unnecessary for around eight months of the year in the UK - however we do have lots of birds here at Dolores Delargo Towers #4, so we'll need to ensure we have a parasol whenever we traverse our new extensive gardens... Jx

    1. But when I came unto my beds,
With hey, ho, the wind and the rain,
With toss-pots still had drunken heads,
For the rain it raineth every day.

      Indeed it does.
