CAMP: "A cornucopia of frivolity, incongruity, theatricality, and humour." "A deadly, winking, sniggering, snuggling, chromium-plated, scent-impregnated, luminous, quivering, giggling, fruit-flavored, mincing, ice-covered heap of mother love." "The lie that tells the truth." "Ostentatious, exaggerated, affected, theatrical; effeminate or homosexual; pertaining to or characteristic of homosexuals."
How surprising! We keep being told that I Love Lucy is in syndication everywhere, and playing someplace every hour of every day. Her 3 subsequent series are of diminishing quality, but I Love Lucy is gem. Wish I could see them all today “for the first time.” Cheers! xoN
It probably is shown somewhere in the world all the time, but certainly not here, while Bill Cotton was in charge at the BBC, in the 1970s, when I was growing up. We had many American series, including loads of Quinn Martin Productions cop shows and such, but light entertainment, variety and "star vehicle" shows were very much a home-grown affair... Jx
That was I Love Lucy, which was shown when ITV first launched in 1955, and it was off the air by the time I was growing up. It was, I believe, a later show Here's Lucy that arrived on BBC2 and was unceremoniously cancelled soon after. Jx
What? No Lucy & Ethel in Martian garb atop the Empire State Building?

I was never a huge Lucy aficionado [her show was cancelled here when I was still a child], so don't know the episode... Jx
