CAMP: "A cornucopia of frivolity, incongruity, theatricality, and humour." "A deadly, winking, sniggering, snuggling, chromium-plated, scent-impregnated, luminous, quivering, giggling, fruit-flavored, mincing, ice-covered heap of mother love." "The lie that tells the truth." "Ostentatious, exaggerated, affected, theatrical; effeminate or homosexual; pertaining to or characteristic of homosexuals."
I see someone else went and used one of my aborted autobiography titles, Eat Money Moneymaker.
ReplyDeleteBut can't lie, I adore Totie Fields
Many men have probably choked on your money-maker, dear!
DeleteAs for Totie Fields, no idea. She never transferred over here, so remains somebody I can only experience by looking her up on YouTube... Jx
I think Annie Ross is my long lost relative who kept 40 JPS and a bottle of gin in her barnet - her recipes are the stuff of legend.
ReplyDeleteSx
One does rather suspect that at least one of her dishes involved magic mushrooms or hash cakes... Jx
DeleteDoes Annie Ross have to invite people in because her ENORMOUS bouffant is too big to allow her to get out?
ReplyDeleteAre those seniors fish or ice-cream cones? I'm leaning towards cones because one appears to have a maraschino cherry in her hair...
I think it might take too long to disentangle her hair from those Le Creuset shelves behind her to go out.
DeleteLord only knows what that cover's all about, but I dread to think what kind of unsexy "sexy" recipes the book contains... Jx
I have put them on my Amazon wish list.
ReplyDeleteI expected nothing less! jx
