CAMP: "A cornucopia of frivolity, incongruity, theatricality, and humour." "A deadly, winking, sniggering, snuggling, chromium-plated, scent-impregnated, luminous, quivering, giggling, fruit-flavored, mincing, ice-covered heap of mother love." "The lie that tells the truth." "Ostentatious, exaggerated, affected, theatrical; effeminate or homosexual; pertaining to or characteristic of homosexuals."
Twin Peaks was an absolute obsession of mine for a while, but it became such a mind-fuck that I gave up halfway through series #2. The cinematography, the lighting, the cleverness and the strangeness of all Mr Lynch's output, however, should be considered as works of art as much as they are films or TV series... Jx
I admired his work rather than enjoy it. Out of the 41 titles he produced I have only seen 3 'The Elephant Man' (1980) and 'Blue Velvet' (1986) both beautifully shot but made me uncomfortable. I 'loved Dune' (1984) A great talent and a sad loss nonetheless. RIP.
Eraserhead had to be the most bizarre piece of cinema I have ever seen. And Twin Peaks was huge here, and very successful.

RIP.
I found him quite mind-boggling, too - but a truly remarkable creative artist, nonethless! Jx
