...is ninety-five years old today.

Understandably, this milestone birthday is a somewhat muted and low-key affair, but nevertheless, we salute Our Gracious Queen in the traditional manner...

  1. I was mixed on my thoughts of Prince Phillip, but I did indeed watch the funeral, in black, gloved, and heavily veiled. Of course. When I saw the Queen sitting idol by herself, and head down, dark eyes, I admit to getting teary eyed.

    May she enjoy many more returns.

    1. I didn't watch the funeral, just the bits on the news. Yes, it was terribly moving to see a 95-year-old woman sat alone to say a final farewell to the man she'd been married to for 73 years... Jx
